MotherCircle Hosted by Jessika @soulmavenhood
8 Weeks
April 10 - May 29
Wednesdays, 10am -11:15am
Do you need more support than you’ve ever needed but have less support available to you?
Are you still healing from your birth, loss, and/or early motherhood experiences and not sure what to do?
Are you committed to living into a new archetype of womanhood and motherhood but confused about what that looks like?
We think we are mothering our children; often we are re-mothering ourselves. Our children reflect our nervous systems, and we’re not sure where we end and they begin.
We are living at a time of renegotiation and re-labeling. New archetypes are emerging.
What is required of us as women and what we require of ourselves is totally NEW.
Women are finally getting honest about motherhood. There’s space in the culture for this formerly invisible experience. Our safety no longer depends on our perfection and our role-play.
At this time, we can define and redefine motherhood on our own terms…and that comes with its own challenges.

Hello, my name is Jessika of Soul Mavenhood. I am a mother of three (23, 17 & 6). I have spent half of my life mothering and have found it to be the most engaging landscape in exploring my soul’s purpose as well as a rite of passage in both becoming and unbecoming. I am a retired yoga teacher and doula, certified Holistic Nutritionist, Functional Medicine Coach, Reiki Master, Birth Story Listener and self study student of Carl Jung and Marion Woodman via Sil Reynolds. I’m inviting mothers to be, mothers, grandmothers and those who support mothers on a journey to do their own healing work, create community and build MotherCulture (a term used by the course creators) so we can create a world where mothers are cared for and valued in a fast paced and disengaged society.
You’re invited. Read on for more.
For over 7 years I have studied with Kimberly Ann Johnson, author of The Fourth Trimester: A Postpartum Guide to Healing Your Body, Balancing Your Emotions and Restoring Your Vitality as well as Call of the Wild: How We Heal Trauma, Awaken Our Power and Use It For Good. She has personally mentored me at different times and I have been fortunate to assist her in a variety of capacities including online support for her popular course Forging A Feminine Path and attending the Earth Daughter’s Festival as an assistant. Her popular course Activating Your Inner Jaguar has supported thousands of women with their trauma (including birth) through the lens of Somatic Experiencing and Sexological BodyWork. I have had two in person hands on sessions that have been truly integral in renegotiating trauma in my body.
Back in 2019, I attended her inaugural MotherCircle course that also led me to my current mentor Sil Reynolds, author of Mothering and Daughtering and a Jungian Depth Psychologist, who was a guest teacher. This last year I took her second MotherCircle course and then the facilitator training this summer. Guest teachers included Sil Reynolds and Tami Lynn Kent, author of one of my favourite books Mothering From Your Center as well as Wild Feminine. Together with Jessica Connolly, a mother of four daughters and creator of Moon Daughters they co facilitated the groups and the training. Jessica has been a guest on my podcast, The Soul Maven Podcast. We talk a lot about MotherCircle and I encourage you to listen if this course speaks to you. You can find it on Apple, Spotify or Google Podcasts.
My work over the last seven years has been closely related to what I have learned and it informed my popular group Mavens for Mama in 2019/20 as well as inspired my UnShame My Motherhood Story interview series in 2017/18.
***This circle welcomes mothers of all stages and ages. It welcomes those who support mothers. Those who are pregnant or want to become pregnant. Grandmothers are also welcome. Babies in arms up to 6mo welcome. If you are unsure if you fit this criteria but are interested please reach out to me at soulmavenhood.com to discuss.***
(This course is directly from the creators, and I will not be using any of my own professional content. What I will share is my personal experience and my own unique flavour to facilitate the provided structure and content of the course.)
